“Don’t give up!”

“Never give up! ”

“Please don’t give up!”

“Don’t you dare give up on me!”

“Why give up so quickly?”

One may have said and heard these statements several times to friends, family, co-workers, clients, and even strangers in crisis. It is an effortless statement to encourage, comfort, and express care for another soul, but where do these sources of comfort originate? Is it from love or fear?

For the majority, especially the ego-driven ones operating in fear, inferiority, and superiority, giving up is a big no-no causing one to end one’s pain, suffering, and for a few, their life, as it displays weakness, loss of opportunity, and failure.

Everyone’s actions, choices, and interpretations are from one’s projections and perceptions influenced by beliefs. Therefore, giving up can be perceived differently and is not what the majority believes.

Note that this is not an encouragement to do whatever one wants to do with one’s life(though one’s life is one’s responsibility) but only to have a new perspective and an invitation to experience something new.

Giving up is not bad at all, as it may mean shifting time and attention on these:

1. HEALING — it takes place when there’s acceptance of circumstances and situations, surrendering to what is, and letting go of control and resistance.

2. RENEWING OF FAITH — this happens when one decides, commits, and is willing to trust the process more, allowing infinite intelligence to take over and witnessing the unfolding of possibilities.

3. LETTING GO — this means allowing oneself to pause, rest, breathe, introspect and withdraw from being consumed by negative thoughts.

4. DISCOVERING AND LEARNING — this is about finding a new approach or solutions to challenges, remembering one’s inherent creative powers and wisdom from within, setting new goals, acknowledging other resources for help, and learning to ask for help.

5. RELEASING — this happens when one detaches oneself from being consumed by negative thinking causing sickness and lets go of the time wasted on blaming oneself for trying or not trying too hard.

Giving up is an invitation to shift consciousness to realize that sometimes or most of the time, one creates more difficulties by being in the way of the natural flow of things by overthinking, worrying, and lacking faith.

And so, learn to give up control as the Universe, Divine Intelligence, and God has your back.
