“STAYCATIONING” IN PAIN?

Sometimes we unconsciously choose to have a staycation in pain and the longer we stay it becomes a belief that some accept there’s no other choice but to suffer.

It becomes our “comfort zone” as it’s easier to stay in this state than to shift our focus of attention that leads to joy. We forget that we always have choices and we’re given freewill to change our situations.

No one is exempt from pain. Everyone deals with it in different ways. I had varying degrees of pain in the past that shaped my perception of life at present.

These were my realizations why I experienced pain:

It is an ERROR in thinking, meaning I focused more on thoughts that didn’t serve me such as:

— Past memories that I kept replaying hoping to get somewhere but really getting nowhere.

— Problems that created more pain than solutions

— Pain itself that I got stuck

— Thoughts of worries and the stories I added to them I judged myself I resisted change I wasn’t giving myself the chance to grow

How I rose from it:

  1. I took responsibility for my decisions and actions
  2. I helped myself to get up
  3. I decided to change
  4. I shifted my focus of…
