HOW DOES ONE RECOVER AND BOUNCE BACK AFTER DEALING WITH A TOXIC PERSON OR SITUATION?

Toxicity in a relationship and situation is challenging. It is draining and bad for one’s mental and physical health.

After every toxic experience, one can consider these:

  1. WELLBEING… Giving oneself time to PAUSE and BREATHE. It helps one MANAGE and RELEASE pent-up emotions, especially the negative ones. The release of emotions can be constructive and destructive. One can encourage oneself to focus on one’s breathing and allow oneself to REST. Emotions are not permanent. They are energy movements wanting to come out of one’s system. It is also preventing oneself from any illness.
  2. REFOCUSING… Illnesses are the physical manifestations of the negative thoughts one constantly thinks. One can consider REFOCUSING ON GOOD quality THOUGHTS. Monitoring thoughts can be laborious enough, requiring alertness, so it is easier to PAY ATTENTION to how one feels. It is a gauge to notify one to be more AWARE/CONSCIOUS of one’s state of mind.
  3. OBSERVING and CHOOSING… The mind is like a thought-creating machine where a single “thought” constantly thought about becomes a belief affecting one’s behavior and perspective. It is energy creating one’s reality. One then has a CHOICE to observe the flow of thoughts without labeling and being affected by them or choosing those that are beneficial to one…
