Headlines, Human challenges, Crises: diseases, pandemics, epidemics, disasters, poverty, hunger, wars, crimes, and more are not news or current events. They are old and recurrent events.

Since time immemorial, these challenges have happened in the past and been happening at present, if one may realize. History is just repeating itself. The differences at present are there are more resources for a cure. Better strategies are in place in response to catastrophes, weapons for wars are modern, and the revisions of some humanitarian laws.

One can almost say we live in a much better world. However, the resources for cures are sometimes questioned about their intentions and control. There is still difficulty in acquiring better treatment, the scarcity of aid in catastrophe-affected places, people continue to suffer, and hunger and poverty are still enormous challenges. Modern technology for wars has become deadlier for mass destruction. Laws in some places that limit and restrict human freedom still exist. What a world we live in, one must have sighed.

Why are these things still happening?

Human ways are still the same. These ways start with intentions that affect behaviors and attitudes toward other humans and the environment. The majority still allow themselves to be overpowered by greed, hatred, and fear that caused and still cause relationships, environment, and lives.

Every minor act based on these intentions starts within oneself, family, small community, society, country, and worldwide has ripple effects. These then lead to an endless cycle of raising awareness through the creation of movements, rallies, protests, demonstrations, and sometimes a ruckus. Some missions and goals were successful. Others take a lifetime achievement, and for a few others, perhaps in the next lifetime.

No matter how many seized opportunities to expose unfairness and inhumane acts, to eradicate pain and suffering from past to present generation; humanity still goes through the same ebb and flow of life.

Why is it so?

First, it is what it is. Realize we live in a world of repetitive cycles and rhythms.

Second, understand the laws of the Universe that bound the world. And here are a few:

The Law of Rhythm states: Everything flows out and in; everything has its tides; all things rise and fall; the pendulum swing manifests in everything; the measure of the swing to the right is the measure of the swing to the left; rhythm compensates.- The Kybalion.

The Law of Cause and Effect states: Whatever thoughts or energy we put out, we get them back, good or bad.

We are also in a world of contrast where it responds to the Law of Polarity. It states: For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.”

The opposites exist that one can know what one wants and doesn’t want and experience what one truly desires. For someone wanting peace, one must experience chaos first. For others’ health and healing, they must know about illnesses and experience pain. They’re opposites, and yet both are on the same pole. One cannot exist in the absence of another. What are doctors for if there are no illnesses, a lawyer, or police officers without crimes to solve? There’s balance if one would realize it again. However, this does not mean one cannot do something with what is. We can use the Universal Laws to one’s advantage.

How?

Third, understand that nothing is permanent except change, and for change to take place, creation must happen. As life is eternal and open to everyone’s interpretation, it’s a process where everyone exercises one’s FREEWILL and acts on one’s purpose, which is to CREATE. A DESIRE calls for change and starts the creation process. Every being is a creator. EXPERIENCE is what everyone is creating through the tools of creation: thoughts, words, and actions that everyone has. Evolution is the catalyst of creation.

These tools of creation are energy. Everything is energy. Everyone is an energy-emitting being. Humans are more than just their physical bodies. Realize the human body’s composition: massive amounts of energy locked up in molecules, composed of several atoms in high-speed vibration.

Everyone is after a good feeling experience, but it varies because of one’s intention. It influences every action and is one’s direction in navigating life. The beliefs of themselves and the collective influenced them. If one would like to know the collective’s intention, observe how the world is and everyone’s reaction right now. It reflects who and what humans are.

Humans have been reacting the same way that the experiences are the same. Individual and collective challenges remain when dealt with using the same approach. Problems remain with the same solution.

What are these intentions and reactions, then?

LOVE or FEAR influences them. These two are the driving forces in this world affecting the human way of living. Human challenges manifested in the physical because of the unconscious and conscious creations based on the quality of thoughts. Most humans are unaware of their inherent powers to create a reality where every thought focused on or thought about creates a physical experience. They have also forgotten that they are an embodiment of love.

How can one thrive, remain steadfast and unaffected in a negative environment?

Being unaffected does not mean ignoring what is happening but making a preference. It is a preference to:

1. Change the beliefs about oneself.

2. Think and focus on better thoughts.

3. Change the sponsoring thought of fear to thoughts of love.

4. Change one’s intentions, reactions, and choices.

5. Be conscious and disciplined to live with the choice/s made.

6. Change the intentions, so experience changes.

7. Turn negative reactions into positive ones.

8. Create better responses and reactions.

9. Create a fresh experience by being more conscious of one’s mindset.

10. Practice, practice, practice until it becomes one’s natural way of living.

11. Ask oneself these questions:

What is my intention? Is it influenced by love or fear?

Are my actions based on love?

How can I change the narrative?

How can I write a new story?

What will love do now?

12. Come back to love. It starts with self-love.

Challenges result from the individual and collective choices of negative thoughts/ thinking and the focus of attention; therefore, we stand responsible for the crises of this world. They are invitations to reflect, renew our minds, reframe beliefs, restart, recreate, rediscover lessons in them and remember who we are, love-d.

As creators, we are creating every moment daily. We can think of new thoughts again and create better experiences. Practice and repetition are keys to new habits. Everyone can change the course of history until we intend to live with the truth of our higher/centered selves, love.

The future depends on human self-awareness and conscious actions in the present moment. We are limitless spiritual beings, just having the human experience.

Know that one’s contribution/creation is a fulfillment of a lack, a solution to a problem, a key to progress, and an influence to love or the opposite.

What are you thinking right now? What thoughts are you thinking most of the time? What is your choice again?
